Remember how fun our meets at Maryland and Boston University were last semester?! We need you to vote on our travel meets for this semester!
There are three meets that the board is considering – UNC-Chapel Hill on February 9, JMU on February 15, and Penn State on February 23 – but we can only go to TWO of these.
This post contains information on all three competitions; please read it carefully then VOTE for the TWO you would prefer. The two competitions that receive the most votes will be the two that we attend.
Please vote HERE by Saturday, January 19.
Please be sure to check your syllabi (i.e. midterm schedule) and calendars for your other commitments before voting.

Here are some factors you might want to consider:
Schedule: These meets are three weekends in a row in February. Please consider your exam schedule and other commitments, as well as other concerns like traveling two weekends in a row.
Equipment: JMU and Penn State both have full men’s equipment, but UNC does NOT have rings or high bar. There is a varsity meet at Penn State immediately after the club meet, and we would be competing on the varsity equipment in the big arena.
Time commitment: UNC and Penn State are two night trips; JMU is one night
Cost: Because JMU is only one night, it is about half the cost (for team members) of UNC and Penn State.
Social and other events: Penn State and UNC have mentioned post-meet socials. We would not be staying the night after the competition at JMU. Additionally, Penn State has the varsity meet to watch after the club meet!
Other factors: Penn State is a very large and successful club. As they wrote in their invitation email, their equipment, judging, and facilities are second only to Nationals. Because we won’t be attending Nationals this year, you may want to take this into account.
